Who is processing your personal data?
This Privacy Policy explains how ASBL International Society of Intraoperative Radiation Therapy VZW (a not-for-profit association with registered offices at 30 Square Coghen - 1180 Brussels – Belgium and registered with the Croassroads Bank for Enterprises under No. 1009.027.850 – “ISIORT”) collects and uses information from registered participants to the 12th ISIORT Conference taking place in Brussels on November 7-8, 2024, as well as the purpose of such collection and use. ISIORT is committed to ensure your privacy, will safeguard the information you supply and use it only in accordance with the following provisions, and in compliance with applicable privacy and personal data protection legislation. This Privacy Policy may be amended by ISIORT from time to time and you are therefore invited to review it periodically.
Categories of personal data processed and purpose of processingISIORT will process the following categories of personal data relating to you: first and last name, email address, company, function, phone number, date and time of online registration to the 12th ISIORT conference, payment details, whether or not you are a speaker and/or sponsor, chosen opt-in proposed during online registration. You acknowledge that these personal data may be collected and processed for the purposes of managing your registration and participation to the conference as well as for direct marketing purposes (subject to your approval).
Legal basis for the processingISIORT relies on your consent (in relation to opt-ins) and on the necessity to perform our contractual obligation.
Transfer of personal dataYou acknowledge that ISIORT may disclose your personal data to its sub-contractors for the above-mentioned purposes, both inside and outside the European Economic Area, namely its hosting website provider, conference organizer, conference hotel and emailing provider. You acknowledge that this may involve transfers of your personal data to countries that do not provide an adequate level of protection. Appropriate contractual measures will be taken to ensure the security of your personal data in compliance with the applicable privacy and personal data protection legislation. A copy of those appropriate contractual measures can be provided upon request.
Links to third party websitesThe Website may create links to other websites, which are not subject to this Privacy Policy. ISIORT recommends you examine the privacy policy applicable to these other websites. ISIORT assumes no responsibility whatsoever for the personal data and privacy practices of such websites and encourages you to review each website’s privacy policy before disclosing any personal data.
Protection of personal data and duration of retentionSteps will be taken to ensure that your personal data is accurate, kept up to date and not kept for longer than is necessary. Your personal data will be retained for as a long as necessary to manage your participation to the conference and will be suppressed within six (6) months, unless ISIORT has a specific legitimate interest in storing your personal data for a longer period (e.g. to comply with a legal obligation). Measures will also be taken to safeguard against unauthorised or unlawful processing and accidental loss or destruction or damage to the data. Any personal data which is contained in ISIORT’s or any of its processor’s regular backups will not be deleted, provided that any such personal data shall remain subject to the applicable confidentiality, data privacy and security obligations until destroyed.
Your rightsYou are entitled to access to your personal data, as collected and processed by ISIORT, and request the modification or suppression of personal data relating to you if it is incorrect or unnecessary. You also have the right to ask for the restriction of the processing or to object to the processing as well as the right to data portability (as the case may be).
When applicable, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent made prior to such withdrawal. To exercise these rights, please send an email to [email protected], together with a copy of an identification document.
In addition, you may object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, as the case may be, at any time, free of charge and without having to provide a justification by following the abovementioned procedure.
